 Speaking of beautiful places, check this one out!!

Robert sent these pictures to me on the 20th.

This is what he said--

We went into Santo Domingo.

We saw a bunch of stuff I'd never seen before.

It was actually fun.

And we went to this national park, Tres Ojos, which are some caves/lakes that are beautiful. 

It was one of the prettiest places I've ever been.

No one can complain about the blue skies in Arizona.

Eric and I are going to be running the Phoenix half marathon next week on the 28th.

Eric does most of his training at the gym on a treadmill.

I prefer running outside, especially for the long runs.

So, if I have to run 12 miles today, at least I have a beautiful place to run in!

You can't hear the giggles in this picture, but trust me, they're there.

In fact, all parties involved were roaring with laughter, including Bob.

He was chasing and throwing the little girls around.

Everyone should have an Uncle Bob.

the emperor's new clothes

Robert, Haley, and Robyn took off for the Dominican Republic on the 13th of February.

These cute girls were my Valentine dates on the 14th.

We went to a play and then dinner.

It was a fantastic Valentine's Day!!

I saw a dead cat in the street the other day.

I'm not really a cat person, but I thought it was our neighbor's cat.

I was sad.

Then I saw this little grave next to the wall that surrounds our community.

It turns out that the cat did not belong to our neighbor.

However, our neighbor loves cats.

He found the cat, buried it, and set out the little tombstone.

I thought it was very sweet.

what's worse than this?

rainy day = treadmill = torture

My long run this past week landed on a rainy day.

What's worse than the picture above?

Doing that twice on a treadmill.

The power in the gym went out right as I hit mile 5.

I had to restart the treadmill to reach 10 miles.
