fall update...

Grandma T
Grandma has had a few falls lately, and we are really happy that she is doing better and back at home.
Mimi
We started a new system for keeping track of homework, exercise, and chores.
Mia has been doing a great job, and she earned herself a reward - pedicure and lunch!

This was some artwork Mimi brought home from school.
She said it was a picture for Dad.
I found out later that is was a picture for Dad of his dad.
Hmm.

Eric
Eric is staying very busy with soccer, school, church, and friends.
He took a little time to visit his new cousin Tatum (Ashley's daughter).
One of the best parts of the soccer season is the beautiful weather.
The sunsets are incredible.
 Tanner
Tanner was Robyn's boyfriend all last year, but he became our family friend as well.
Here he is sitting next to Mia while supporting Quinny at her soccer game.
He is now on a mission for the church in Washington.
 The Family
Here we are at Tanner's farewell.

 Quinny
If she could spend all day every day with Allison, her life would be perfect!

Q likes to do the wobbly legs during down times.
It makes me laugh every time.
Maybe it's her skinny legs, or maybe it's just hard to believe she's my kids out there drawing attention to herself...  Whatever it is, it's entertaining.

family texting...

WARNING:  If you have not seen Nacho Libre like a million times, this will not be funny.  If you are not a member of our family, this might not be funny.  If you are one of our parents/grandparents, this will most likely not be funny and quite possibly be offensive (you have been warned, PARENTS!).  If you are a member of our family, you will probably laugh very hard and find this very funny...

Robert Thomas:  Hahahahahahaha

Kim:
I believe in science.

I was wondering if you would like to join me in my quarters this night... for some toast.

Eric Thomas:
Have you not been baptized!!!😧

Robert Thomas:
Sometimes, when you are a man, you wear stretchy pants, just for fun

Kim:

They think I do not know a buttload of crap about the Gospel, but I do!

Robyn Thomas:
I hate all the orphans in the whole world

Robyn Thomas:

Let's get down to the nitty gritty

Eric Thomas:
look alive!!

Kim:
Thank you. I mean... they might have the appearance of riches, but beneath the clothes, we find a man... and beneath the man we find... his... nucleus.

Robert Thomas:  Oh my gosh, I've been laughing at all the Nacho Libre stuff, I just got off the phone and got caught up.  I have literal tears in my eyes 😂😂😂😂😆😆

Robyn Thomas:  Guys, we are hilarious

Robert Thomas:  Seriously

where did july and august go?

Here's a quick recap of our summer months...

The dryer almost burned our house down.
No worries, it's fixed now.
Fun Day at Wells Fargo in Phoenix.
Cool little museum.

The kids got to feel like executive bankers while eating their lunch in the board room.
Thanks for the tour, Shelle.
The kids got to ride the Light Rail and the Orbit bus from Tempe to Phoenix and then back home again.
Haley got her wisdom teeth removed.
Fun Day at the Tempe History Museum.
They turned into the Village People for a couple of hours.
 No words for this picture.
We went on a fun weekend trip to Pinetop and Snowflake.
Touring my great, great grandparent's home.
Found a gravestone with an unfortunate placement of the name over the meme, FOR TIME AND ALL ETERNITY.
 Parade time.

Quick trip to Las Vegas for the parents.

Quinny discovered that getting the mail on her bike with a backpack is the way to go!
New way to give back rubs.
 Quinny started 2nd grade.
 Mimi started 6th grade.
 Eric started 10th grade.

 Robert started a gang.
 He recruited the little guys.

This evil bug stung me on the tip of my middle finger.
 Eric became an Eagle Scout.
So did nine other boys from his troop!!
I got the mom pin, which I really didn't deserve.
With some help from his leaders, Eric did the work!!

Quinny decided we needed perfume handy while we did our afternoon reading -
"...just in case one of us farts."
Robyn flew the nest and headed to Ohio to start college.

 Mimi started soccer and tennis.
She also decided to grow up!!
Not so much a little girl anymore.
Haley started her new semester at MCC.
And Quinny finally advanced a level in swimming.
YAY!!

That was a quick and dirty update.
Until next time...
